![]() ![]() Despite the fact that there are elves, this isn't anything like LOTR. There were some parts near the end I maybe felt like I just had to get through, but overall I'd recommend giving it a go. I already can't wait for the next in the series! For a fantasy, there weren't as many characters as I expected (maybe like five main ones) but I actually enjoyed that a lot because I really got to know the characters that were in there! Mainly Venick and Ellina. ![]() Also, the war between the two sides is intriguing and interesting. ![]() ![]() If you love stories that combine romance, mystery, danger and magic, this is a story that you will most likely greatly enjoy. Then there's Ellina, the main female elf, who decides to save his life rather than kill him. We learn that this man (named Venick) is an outlaw and was banished for a murder, and now is basically just trying to survive. The story starts out with the male lead, who is a human man, when he is caught in the elven forest by the elves. The description for this book was what first definitely had me intrigued, and I'm glad to say I really loved this one! I think the author's writing style is so wonderful and they make it so easy to feel for the characters!! An unpredictable twist (actually there are two) A strong female lead (without being overdone) Edit: I've read Elvish twice now, and just to help those of you who are undecided, (firstly, READ THIS BOOK) but second, I just wanted to say that you'll love this book if you love: ![]()
